Summary

All the members of our group chose to write about social capital. The definition of social capital, according to the introduction in Education and Social Change, is where people benefit or have advantages due to their social ties and relationships with others (Rury 2013). Individually, we have all experienced the effects of social capital in our lives. We have all seen the benefits of having certain relationships that allows us to do things or experience things that we never thought possible. Doors have been opened and opportunities were made available through the relationships that we all had in our lives.
